Year 6 students have the opportunity to join the Jindabyne High School Snowsports Program which operates every Friday from Week 2 to Week 9 in Term 3.

Students from Year 6 to Year 10 have the choice of participating in either the Snowsports program, or the Friday at School Program. The Snowsports Team organise a comprehensive Snowsports development program based at both Perisher and Thredbo. The Snowsports program is an optional experience for students and presently supports skiing and snowboarding.
Objectives
- To develop the Snowsports abilities and skills of participants in one or more of the four disciplines - alpine, freestyle, snowboard, cross-country in a safe and supervised manner.
- To build on the team ethics of fun through participation, and learning through involvement; together with the values of cooperation, organisation, safe behaviour, and self-responsibility.
- To assist those students who participate in Interschools competitions an opportunity to further develop their skills and to also offer opportunities for those developing their ability to compete at a later date.
- To cultivate a positive and enthusiastic school-team spirit amongst students which values and celebrates the contribution that all participants make in the whole-school effort at Snowsports competitions from Regional to National level.
- To enhance possibilities for future career options, in the Snowsports industry, both permanent and seasonal.
