Reflecting on this achievement, Snowsports Interschools Coordinator Mrs Jemma Grisbrook expressed her gratitude:
As we wrap up the Subaru State Interschools Championship, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the students, families, carers, and staff who made this event a huge success for JPS. Your dedication, sportsmanship, and unwavering support have truly shone through, and I couldn't be prouder of what we've accomplished together. Thanks to the incredible efforts and dedication of all our competitors, our school proudly secured 2nd place overall in the Co-Ed Primary Schools State Championships. As we look ahead to the National Championships, I wish all our competitors the best of luck and am excited to see you bring the same passion and enthusiasm once again. I am incredibly grateful to share this amazing journey with each of you. Thank you all!
Day 1 Highlights:
- Alpine Div 4 Female: Team A (Matilda F, Phoebe C, Attana S, and Lilou S) secured 3rd place.
Matilda F also took home a fantastic individual 2nd place overall. - Alpine Div 4 Male: Team A (Nicholas W, Samuel B, Archer G, and Darcy F) placed 3rd.
- Ski Cross Div 4 Female: Team A (Matilda F, Attana S, and Phoebe C) grabbed 3rd place.
- Ski Cross Div 4 Male: Team A (Nicholas W, Samuel B, and Darcy F) placed 5th overall, with Nicholas W securing an individual 3rd place finish.
Several teams qualified for the National Championships, including:
- Alpine Div 5 Female: Team A placed 6th (Pippa C, Ines S, Kira W, and Elva B).
- Ski Cross Div 6 Female: Team A placed 4th (Abigail J, Matilda R, and Aurora P).
- Ski Cross Div 6 Male: Rocco L earned an individual invitation to Nationals.
Day 2 Highlights:
- Snowboard Giant Slalom (SB GS) Div 4 Male: Team A (Jake M, Archer G, and Bowden L) earned Silver.
- SB GS Div 4 Female: Team A (Pepper M, Charlea J, and Marley L) won Bronze.
- SB GS Div 5 Male: Team A (Boston L, Cash B, and Oliver W) took Gold.
- SB GS Div 5 Female: Team A (Sage M, Marley M, and Aisha M) took Gold, with Marley M earning individual Silver and Sage M earning Bronze.
- Snowboard Cross (SBX) Div 5 Male: Team A (Boston L, Cash B, and Oliver W) won Gold, with Boston L earning individual Silver.
- SBX Div 5 Female: Team A (Sage M, Marley M, and Kiah L) won Silver.
- Moguls Div 4 Male: Team A (Samuel B, Nicholas W, and Archer G) won Silver.
- Alpine Div 6 Female: Team A (Abigail J, Matilda R, Aurora P, and Ilaria B) won Bronze.
Day 3 Highlights:
- SBX Div 4 Male: Team B (Archer G, Oscar H, and Sam K) earned Bronze.
- SBX Div 4 Female: Team A (Charlea J, Pepper M, and Marley L) took Bronze.
- Cross-Country (XC) Classic Div 4 Female: Aisha-Juliet M won individual Gold.
- XC Relay Div 4 Female: Team A (Lily W, Phoebe C, and Aisha-Juliet M) won Gold.
- XC Relay Div 5 Female: Team A (Kira W, Maya W, and Pippa C) earned Silver.
- MC Alpine GS Div 6 Female: Matilda K-M won Gold.
- MC Snowboard GS Div 5 Male: William S earned Silver.
