Our 2025 Student Captains:

School Captains are the face of student leadership at Jindabyne Public School, representing the student body at school events, assemblies, and within the wider community. Their role is to inspire and motivate their peers by leading with enthusiasm while encouraging a strong sense of school spirit. By promoting the schoolโ€™s values of respect, responsibility and personal best they set an example for others to follow.

Our 2025 Sports Leaders:

Our Sports Leaders play a vital role in fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit across all sporting events. Each leader represents one of our four sporting houses (Townsend, Northcote, Bogong, and Strezlecki) which compete throughout the year in school carnivals and events. These houses are named in recognition of the unique natural and cultural heritage of our local region.

๐Ÿ…Townsend Leaders - Zali C & Hayley B

Named after Mount Townsend, the second-highest peak in mainland Australia, standing tall in the Kosciuszko National Park.

๐Ÿ…Northcote Leaders - Tanamai H-J & Wils L

Another notable mountain in the Kosciuszko National Park, forming part of the Great Dividing Range.

๐Ÿ… Bogong Leaders - Aisha-Juliet M & Ashton N

Deeply tied to Indigenous culture, the Bogong moth is known for its extraordinary migration from the Darling River plains to the Snowy Mountains. Traditionally, Aboriginal men traveled through the mountains to harvest these moths as a food source.

๐Ÿ… Strezlecki Leaders - Sienna V & Aston W

Named after Sir Paul Edmund de Strzelecki, the first European to discover and climb Mount Kosciuszko.

Our 2025 Student Representative Council:

The Student Representative Council (SRC) plays a crucial role in ensuring that every student at Jindabyne Public School has a voice. Having two representatives from each class ensures that the perspectives and concerns of students across all year levels are heard. This structure allows for a diverse range of ideas and experiences, creating opportunities for meaningful change and student-led initiatives that benefit the entire school community.

We are thrilled to announce our 2025 SRC members, who will represent their peers with dedication, enthusiasm, and a commitment to positive change:
